Your project plan breaks down the tasks involved in your project into a multilevel framework of dependencies.

Through the project plan, you can gain insights into your task hierarchy, with each process and step displayed as a subordinate element to its relevant task or process element.

You can export your project plan data from the Shoreline web app and import it into a project management software suite to visualize your project schedule as a Gantt chart:

• Import your project plan into Microsoft Project
• Import your project plan into Primavera

The task breakdown within the project plan follows this hierarchy:

• Task
  • Process
    • Step

Within a Shoreline case, an example hierarchy might look like this:

• Task: Installation (bottom fixed)
  • Process: HLV mobilization
    • Step: Step 1
    • Step: Step 2
  • Process: Loadout
    • Step: Step 1
    • Step: Step 2
    • Step: Step 3
  • Process: Transit to windfarm
    • Step: Step 1
  • Process: Jack up
    • Step: Step 1
  • Etc.

The table below outlines the information in the exported file.

Export your project plan

These instructions assume you have run a simulation on your case.

1. Open the relevant Shoreline case.
2. Click on Output.
3. In the Reports section at the top left of the page, under Project plan, choose one of the report export formats:
   • All percentile values CSV
     • This exports a ZIP file containing a CSV for each percentile value, the minimum, maximum, and net runs.
   • CSV
   • Primavera P6
   • MS Project.

Once your file has downloaded, you can view the file in e.g., Excel, or import it into Microsoft Project or Primavera.

Import your project plan XML into MS Project

Note: Import your file using the MS Project desktop app.

1. In MS Project, click on File > Open.
2. Chose *.xml as the file format.
3. Navigate to the XML file you downloaded from Shoreline.
4. Double click the file.
5. If prompted, select As a new project.
6. Click Finish.

Import your project plan XML into Primavera P6

1. In Primavera, click on File > Import.
2. Select Primavera P6 – (XML).
   
3. Click Next.
4. Navigate to the XML file you downloaded from Shoreline.
5. Click Next.
   
   
6. Select Update Existing Project in the Import Action column.
7. Select your Primavera project in the Import To column.
8. Click Next.
   
   
   
9. Select the Default import template.
10. Click Next.
11. Click Finish.
    
12. The XML file will now display in Primavera.
