To process a resource request, you log on as a requestor (site planner in this example) and navigate to the Resources menu item. Then to the  'Resource plans' tab. Here you see any open requests and outstanding actions...


When you click on the arrow on a specific request, you can view details of manpower and logistics requests. 

It displays one of the following statuses:

  • Draft: Prior to being sent to resource approver.
  • Request pending: Waiting for resource approver to approve or deny the request.
  • Request rejected: The request has been rejected by the approver - click on Edit to view the rejecters explanation.
  • Plan in progress: The request has been approved, awaiting to be scheduled.
  • Plan live: The request has been planned and scheduled, and is now part of the planned schedule

Moreover, it shows who requested at which date including the deadline when the request has be approved or denied the latest.

To generate a new resource request, click on 'Create new request'


Manpower/Logistics requests:

Complete the mandatory field 'Title' before adding a manpower/logistics request.

Manpower request 

Add Manpower by clicking ' + Add manpower request '

Select the required role, skills group and define the required quantity of manpower.

Next, click on ' Add rotation' and fill in the required information.


Logistics request

Add Logistics by clicking ' + Add Logistics request'.

Select the required logistic type, the quantity of logistic requested, and a description to assist the resource approver.

Next, click on 'Add rotation' and fill in the required information.


When the resource request is ready to send for resource approval, click ' Save'.

Then click the 'Assign request' button under manage or 'Assign for review' in the middle of the screen.

Select the ' Request manager' and click 'Assign request'.

Notice that the 'Status' has changed to 'Request pending'; and the 'Manage' icon has changed to 'View'. So until it has been approved by the resource manager you can only view the resource request.
