An activity is a record of work undertaken on a Work Order (WO). A work order can be connected to an asset or a stand-alone WO. The main goal of the Execution tool is to plan and manage work orders. The processes of automated planning - the Scheduling - and the Planning mode for manual planning are both subjects described in other articles.

You can find the 'Work Order' section on the left menu. 

In the sub-menu of this section, you will find 'Work Orders', 'Work Order Sequences', 'Activities', and 'Checklist templates'.
