Users can now add a power curve to an asset type and individual assets.

This is an option useful for those users who wish to see PBA (production based availability) of their assets. This will mean that the system can account for this data when making calculations elsewhere in the system (scenario analysis).

Adding a power curve

First, you must add the relevant power curve to the asset type.

1. Navigate to Account settings > Sites/Assets > Asset types

2. On the desired asset type, select the power curve icon

3. Upload a CSV file containing the power curve to the desired asset type and save (example file found on the bottom of this article).


To view the uploaded power curve on the desired asset type

1. Select the power curve icon

2. If a power curve has been successfully uploaded, the power curve will appear

Make sure your uploaded power curve is enabled in order to use it by switching on the toggle bar when editing the asset type.


Viewing and editing a power curve in an asset

Once the power curve is set you can view it in an asset.

1. Navigate to Sites > Show assets 

2. Then click ‘Edit’ on a WTG asset

3. Power curve will be listed in the ‘Power curve’ section of the asset

a. On each specific asset, users will have the option to upload a custom power curve or to display no power curve by selecting “None” To add a custom power curve click the ‘Custom curve’ tab > Then click ‘Upload new power curve’ (example file found on the bottom of this article).

b. Then select and upload the required file as before
