Weather files

  • All data is in one column
    • When importing weather files, and the preview of the file displays everything in one column, means that you have not set the delimiter properly.
    • The easiest way to identify the delimiters for the file is to open the file in any text-editor program (Notepad, Wordpad, Word, Notepad++ etc), which will display the file as it is, and here you should be able to identify the different delimiters.
  • "Error: One or more entries in the weather file is not in right format
    • There are are rows in the file which are not correctly set up. It might be hard to identify when there is no notification on which row the issue is identified: we recommend to look at the bottom row(s), as there are sometimes some text which needs to be removed.
  • "Error: Couldn't store data on server.Invalid Data on weather file on line 10"
    • There is an incorrect value or text somewhere on row 10 in the file, which needs to be fixed.

Extra asset with blank name and coordinates

  • Extra asset with blank name and coordinates
    • there are instances when importing assets that you have an additional asset added to the bottom with no title and blank coordinates. This is because the file you are importing has a blank row on the bottom, which can be mitigated by editing the file in any text editor program (not Excel), then go down to the bottom row, remove that row and save the file - the import will now only contain the number of turbines you want to add.
